This page will link my annotations categorized by what type of articles or posts they are. My project is based around AI, specifically its integration in hiring. Many companies have begun to utilize AI systems but are they really helping candidates? Much of the research proves how many disparities there are when using an AI system to analyze candidates of different ethnic or gender backgrounds. This data comes from years of historical data which presents stereotypes and bias from previous years. Even when feeding the AI neutral data it still manages to create its own bias as people use it. AI does save the companies money and time when recruiting but unless there's more research on ways to improve the systems then itll only cause problems legally for many. There's been policies put in place and regulations in order to combat companies from continuing to utilize AI hiring systems that are biased. Its practically used in everyday life now and you'll find AI everywhere! AI is truly advancing quickly but there has to be ways to fix the bias and make a fair system when it comes to hiring. Researchers are still working on ways to reduce bias such as addressing the problem and balancing the training data by removing anything that shows bias to promote a more equal system.
